Children’s Hospital Foundation has today proudly welcomed Lady Mayoress Nina Schrinner as our first-ever Honorary Ambassador – marking an exciting new chapter in our mission to help sick and injured kids across Queensland.
With a deep passion for community and a drive to make a difference, Lady Mayoress Schrinner is set to shine a light on the vital programs, life saving research and family support services we fund to ensure every child has every chance to thrive.
A powerful partnership
Children’s Hospital Foundation CEO, Lyndsey Rice said she was thrilled to have Lady Mayoress Schrinner join the Foundation in this special role.
“We are incredibly honoured to have Lady Mayoress Nina Schrinner as our first-ever Honorary Ambassador,” Ms Rice said.
“Her passion for community and her genuine care for the wellbeing of children make her the perfect fit. Together, we’ll work to ensure every sick and injured child – no matter where they live or what challenges they face – gets access to the very best healthcare and support.”
Lady Mayoress Schrinner said she was humbled to step into the role and excited to help make a difference for kids in hospital.
“Children’s Hospital Foundation does incredible work to support sick and injured kids across Queensland, and I’m honoured to stand alongside them,” she said.
“Every child deserves the opportunity to grow up healthy and happy, and it’s a privilege to be part of a Foundation that works tirelessly to make that happen.”

Lady Mayoress Schrinner joins Her Excellency, the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM, who was appointed as the Foundation’s official patron in November 2021.
