At the Children’s Hospital Foundation, we exist to ignite and inspire generosity. Published today, our latest Impact Report outlines our key achievements that your generosity made possible in FY2023-24.

As we continue to work hand-in-hand with Queensland Children’s Hospital and Children’s Health Queensland across the state, we are excited for the future and ready to meet new challenges with ambition and determination.

Some highlights from the past year include:

  • Invested $11.2 million into direct impact for sick children and young people
  • Provided the initial $400,000 funding to establish the Queensland Children’s Hospital ACTION Centre – in collaboration with Children’s Health Queensland – to bring advanced therapies and clinical trials to children living with rare diseases and complex illnesses in Queensland
  • Reinstated the Mary McConnel Career Boost Program to provide support to women in paediatric research in the pre-PHD through to early and mid-stages of their careers
  • Celebrated 30 years of music therapy and the 500th patient scan for digital PET-CT service at Queensland Children’s Hospital
  • Launched a new cadetship program with Children’s Health Queensland to increase their Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander workforce
  • Supported 127,250 interactions with patients and families through our impact programs and services.

This investment brings our total contribution to paediatric healthcare and support to $256 million since 1985. With our commitment and passion to improve children’s health outcomes stronger than ever, we are on a mission to ensure every child has every chance to thrive.
