Last month we proudly launched the Children’s Hospital Foundation Hall of Fame Awards, as part of our Queensland Children’s Hospital 10th birthday celebrations – taking a moment to celebrate the generosity and dedication of those supporters who have gone above and beyond for sick kids in hospital.

A community that cares

For the past 10 years, Children’s Hospital Foundation has been on a mission to help Queensland Children’s Hospital deliver world-class care to over 40,000 children each year.

From life saving treatments to moments of comfort in the operating theatre to the wards – none of this would be possible without the incredible support from our community of volunteers, donors and corporate partners.

Children’s Hospital Foundation Hall of Fame Awards are our way of saying thank you to the heroes who have stood by our side – those who have provided donations of more than $500,000 or dedicated a decade of service to helping sick kids get better sooner.

Honouring our supporters

At our Queensland Children’s Hospital’s 10th Birthday Long Lunch event, we celebrated the generosity of 14 corporate partners and major donors.

Over the past decade, these individuals have each contributed more than $500,000 – directly funding innovative research, cutting edge equipment and programs that make a difference in the lives of sick children and their families.

To mark their incredible achievement and find out what keeps them motivated, we asked our partners and donors one simple question – why do you support sick kids?

A thank you to our volunteers

Volunteers are the heart of the Queensland Children’s Hospital, and this year we recognised 30 incredible individuals who have dedicated over 10 years brightening the days of young patients and providing much-needed support to families.

Whether it’s through the comfort of a good book, helping families to find their way through the hospital or the gesture of a kind smile, our volunteers make an enormous impact every day.

A decade of life changing care

Thanks to our community’s support, the Children’s Hospital Foundation has invested over $110 million over the past 10 years into medical research, equipment and care programs that have transformed the way patients at Queensland Children’s Hospital are treated.

We could not have reached this milestone without the generosity of our Hall of Fame inductees. Their dedication has helped and will continue to help make Queensland Children’s Hospital a global leader in paediatric healthcare – a hospital now ranked the best children’s hospital in the Southern Hemisphere.

Congratulations to our 2024 Hall of Fame Inductees
