At the Children’s Hospital Foundation, building strong partnerships is key to making a lasting impact for Queensland’s sickest kids. That’s where Phoebe Walker – our Partnerships Specialist – plays a crucial role.
From connecting with corporate partners and supporters to assisting in planning and delivering fundraising events, Phoebe’s work helps ensure every partnership contributes to increasing fundraising outcomes and maximising impact for sick Queensland kids.
No two days are ever the same, and that’s what she loves most about her.
Phoebe’s journey with the Foundation started while she was still completing her university degree. Stepping into the not-for-profit sector straight from university, she quickly found herself surrounded by a team that supported her growth and development.
“I came in fresh from university – still quite green – but the management and wider team really helped me develop as a professional,” shared Phoebe.
“The best part of my role is definitely my team – we love working together and I feel incredible supported while learning from them every single day.”
While the role is fast-paced and dynamic, Phoebe stays motivated by one simple truth: every day, she’s making a difference for sick kids.
“At the end of the day, I remind myself why I’m here – to help sick kids. That’s what drives me.”
At the Children’s Hospital Foundation, our people are at the heart of everything we do.
By nurturing a team that is driven, supported and connected to our mission, we create meaningful opportunities to improve the lives of sick and injured kids across Queensland and northern New South Wales.
