Foundation Team

Lyndsey joined the Children’s Hospital Foundation as Chief Executive Officer in May 2022.  She brings with her a wealth of strong fundraising experience, having led the fundraising teams of successful not-for-profits including Oxfam, Children’s Medical Research Institute, Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation, and Cancer Council NSW.

Lyndsey has over 15 years leadership experience gained across international markets, and is experienced in strategic planning, fundraising, marketing, philanthropy, digital transformation and leading highly effective teams.

At an executive level, Lyndsey drives growth and change, leveraging her years of experience working with for-purpose organisations to raise funds, improve brands and create exceptional supporter experiences. During her time with Cancer Council NSW Lyndsey led a successful five-year digital transformation project to position them as a leader in this space.

Lyndsey is recognised as a visionary leader with experience leading large multi-disciplinary teams throughout a career that spans international development, social service, health, medical research and the arts. She is passionate about building inclusive, engaged, and inspiring cultures to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Lyndsey has served on executive teams of some of country’s largest health charities and held governance and non-executive roles at Daffodil Centre and ChildFund Australia.

Lyndsey holds a 1^st Class BA Hons Degree in English Language and Literature, is a Graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Member of the Fundraising Institute of Australia, where she is also a volunteer mentor.

Nadine Moore is a results-driven professional with expertise in Business, Marketing, and Philanthropy. She currently serves as Chief Growth Officer at the Children’s Hospital Foundation, where she leads strategic initiatives across the Foundation’s marketing and fundraising portfolio.

With a strong foundation in academic rigor, Nadine holds a Bachelor of Education, a Post Graduate Certificate in Public Relations, a Master of Business in Integrated Marketing Communication, and a Master of Education in Trauma-Informed Therapy. Her expertise in strategic leadership, business transformation, integrated marketing
campaigns, and donor relationship management has driven both organisational growth and significant social impact.

At the Children’s Hospital Foundation, Nadine has focused on enhancing brand positioning, leading innovative philanthropic strategies and launching successful products, resulting in significant market growth. She is passionate about putting people at the centre of decision-making and creating meaningful connections between
consumers, employees and communities.

Simon is a highly experienced executive who has held roles in health and education across profit and not-for-profit organisations and the public sector. He joined the Children’s Hospital Foundation team as Chief Operating Officer in June 2024.

Simon has held non-executive director and company secretarial roles. He is highly experienced in philanthropic financial management, with oversight of the ICT, risk and compliance and project management office in multiple roles. Simon is a Fellow of CPA Australia, with a Masters in Commerce and a Bachelor of Economics from The University of Queensland.

Rachael joined Children’s Hospital Foundation in 2013, bringing with her more than 10 years’ experience working across the not-for-profit, education, and healthcare industries.

Prior to joining Children’s Hospital Foundation, Rachael worked at Cancer Council NSW, where she contributed to the development of people structures, systems and processes to improve organisational effectiveness. Rachael holds a Bachelor of Business from the University of Queensland.

Rachael is responsible for our strategic direction and delivery of our people and culture programs, services and technologies in order to build a talented, diverse, engaged and productive workforce in support of the organisation.

She is passionate about ensuring our people are achieving the best outcomes for sick kids.

Since beginning his journey with the Children’s Hospital Foundation in 2002, Nick has contributed in a number of roles.

As the Director of Impact Programs, Nick develops and manages the day-to-day workings of all mission related activities of the Foundation, including impact programs that support patient and families, hospital events and entertainment, volunteer services and all research and grants activity.

The Foundation’s mission related services directly impact the well-being of children and their families and aim to improve the hospital journey for the many thousands of sick and injured kids admitted to the hospital each year.

Nick’s passion and enthusiasm for the outcomes of the Foundation’s programs and services continue to grow, as he continues to take the support offered in the hospital to even more meaningful levels.

Jane has had a longstanding career in the clinical care of children and is a practiced non-executive Director having held Board positions with Queensland Otology, Hear and Say and Queensland Neurotology, including as Chair and Deputy Chair.

Her clinical speciality extends to paediatric deafness and cochlear implantation, particularly in the areas of successful outcomes, social and emotional development, resilience, and positive mental health, and she has held senior oncology roles in Brisbane, London, Oxford, and Edinburgh where she collaborated with world experts in the field of cancer treatment.  Jane’s governance experience includes playing a key board role in the development of Hear and Say from its inception to its leading position as a premier childhood deafness entity, whilst overseeing the development of Queensland Otology and Attune (now Amplifon), Australia’s leading medical audiology company.  Jane is highly experienced in the governance of organisations and the social facets of paediatric medical management, and being from a rural background, she is adept with the challenges and limitations of health service delivery in isolated regions.

Michelle is a General Practitioner and Rural Generalist with 15 years’ experience across primary care, emergency medicine and aeromedical retrieval.

She has held senior leadership roles across public, private and not-for-profit sectors, including as State Lead Primary Health Care for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section).  Michelle currently serves as Medical Lead for Care@Home, Tasmania’s virtual care service, where she oversees clinical strategy, governance and service planning and delivery.  She brings a strategic and systems-level perspective, with a strong focus on safety, equity and sustainable models of care, particularly in rural and resource-limited settings.

Sharon is the Chief Operating Officer at Aerofast Australia Pty Ltd, having previously worked as a Chartered Accountant with BDO for more than 25 years.

Her most recent role at BDO was as Director in the company’s healthcare team, looking after large medical groups, hospitals, doctors, and allied health professionals.  Ms. Houghton’s advisory skills extend to management accounting and consulting, business structuring, personal wealth creation, self-managed superannuation, business succession planning, family business, and indirect taxation.

Neal was appointed CEO of the Tim Fairfax Family Foundation in January 2021.  Prior to this role, he was a Program Manager at The Myer Foundation and Sidney Myer Fund.

During his time with The Myer Foundation and Sidney Myer Fund, Neal helped secure the tax-free status of the Sidney Myer Creative Fellowships, establish A New Approach (Australia’s first think tank dedicated to arts and culture), and create the National Assistance Program for the Arts – a nation-wide COVID-19 emergency program supported by 29 philanthropists in every Australian state and territory.

Neal is a former Chair of Yarra City Council’s Arts Advisory Committee, Melbourne Company Snuff Puppets, and Philanthropy Australia’s Arts Funders Network, and is a Fellow of the Queensland Academy of Arts and Sciences.

Catherine is an accomplished and well credentialed risk executive with experience in investment management, financial services and enterprise-wide risk governance.

She has a strong background focused on embedding risk management frameworks organisationally and using influencing and communication skills to strengthen risk culture. Ms. Parker most recently served as the inaugural Head of Risk and Compliance at Cromwell Property Group, a role established upon her appointment in June 2021. In this role, she was responsible for their enterprise-wide risk management and compliance functions, especially relating to its Australian Financial Services Licence obligations. Catherine is also a director on several not-for-profit boards, including YMCA Brisbane and Mercy Partners.

Frank is the current Chief Executive of Children’s Health Queensland and boasts more than 30 years’ experience working in health systems, including previous chief executive and senior leadership roles.

His extensive experience in health commissioning and provision in clinical and community settings is complemented by strong managerial and leadership skills, and an applied interest in translational health research. Frank provides a strong connection between Children’s Health Queensland and the Children’s Hospital Foundation, assisting the Board of the Foundation to better understand the priorities and needs of the Children’s Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service.

Karina is a proud First Nations and South Sea Islander woman, deeply rooted in her ancestral connections to northern New South Wales.

She is an esteemed ABC journalist and holds prominent leadership positions including Chair of BlakDance, Non-Executive Director for ATSICHS Brisbane, and a Non-Executive Director for Deadly Coders, promoting digital literacy among Indigenous youth.

Karina sits on the Children’s Health Queensland Hospital and Health Board.
