Many Aussies might not realise that when they play the lotteries, even if they don’t become instant millionaires, their money still goes towards supporting important causes.

The Lott by Golden Casket and the Children’s Hospital Foundation share a long-standing partnership, which has helped to fund important health services, equipment, and research.

Over the past three years, The Lott has donated $1.5 million to support the Children’s Brain Cancer Centre, Australia’s only research centre dedicated to paediatric brain cancer research.  The Centre plays a vital role in the Australian Brain Cancer Mission, which aims to double survival rates and improve the quality of life of people living with brain cancer over the next 10 years, with the longer-term aim of defeating brain cancer.

Other pioneering projects we have been able to fund thanks to support from The Lott include introducing artificial intelligence to detect sight-threatening disease in newborns, implementing new airway clearance guidance in Paediatric Intensive Care Units and providing support for remote Indigenous Australians through nasal high flow therapy.

The Children’s Hospital Foundation is incredibly grateful to be a part of a new campaign launched by The Lott.  The campaign airs during the Olympics across TV, online, social media and YouTube, and showcases eight community partners.

Hans de Koning, Sponsorship and Community Manager at Tabcorp said “I’m incredibly proud of our new “A Lott More to Play For” campaign.  It showcases some of our wonderful community partners and the difference they make across Australia. They all do such wonderful things in our communities, and we are so happy to profile them as part of this campaign.”

The Foundation advert was launched on Channel 7 today (Friday 30 July) so keep an eye out while you are enjoying the Olympics.
