When Ollie was born, she seemed perfectly healthy. Just before her first birthday, Ollie caught a cold which resulted in her feeding dropping off and feeling extremely lethargic. An X-ray at eight months of age revealed her heart was failing.
It was a terrifying time - hooked up to machines, confined to hospital, not knowing what would come next. This began a long process of hospital stays, appointments and medications.
But thankfully, Children's Hospital Foundation were a light in the darkness for Ollie and her family.
Your generosity helps provide vital support programs for sick kids like Ollie and their families, helping them feel safe, supported and comfortable when they need it most.
Where your dollar goes
When you donate to us, we are transparent about where your money goes.
For every dollar donated 64 cents goes straight to impact like research, equipment and support for patients and families.
10 cents goes towards our future fund. This future fund allows us to make big multi-year commitments to areas of vital importance like immunotherapy, brain cancer and cystic fibrosis.
The last 26 cents goes towards operating expenses and cost of fundraising allowing us to generate more income and operate with good governance.
