Helping kids like Layla
From the outside, Layla seemed like any other bubbly, happy baby. But at just 15 months old, she was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia – a cancer that affects the blood and bone marrow and requires urgent and intensive treatment.
For months, Layla endured aggressive chemotherapy, invasive procedures and long hospital stays. Her parents and older brother - Jack - living with the daily anxiety of not knowing what the future held.
After months of fighting, Layla went into remission and the Hall family began to rebuild their lives. This was until 2022 when, at four years old, the unthinkable happened.
After a series of tests at Queensland Children’s Hospital, her family’s worst fears were realised. Layla’s leukaemia had relapsed.
Your support this Christmas helps us bring comfort, joy and healing to children like Layla.
