Thanks to our incredible community of generous supporters, we are able to bring joy to children in hospital with a special gifts for birthdays, milestones and bad days. Your donations can lift the spirits of children and their families during their toughest times, and we are so grateful for your kindness.
To ensure patient safety and make the greatest impact, we kindly ask you to follow a few important guidelines when donating gifts to sick kids.
What to Donate
For infection control and patient safety, we can only accept brand new items that have been recently purchased.
Our Amazon Wish List is the easiest way to donate - when you purchase from the list, the items will be sent straight to us. If you prefer, you can use the wish list as a guide to buy the items in person, before you deliver them to our team at the hospital.
Please note that, for safety reasons, donations cannot be handed out directly to patients.
Donation Restrictions
To keep our children safe and comply with hospital policies, there are some items we unfortunately cannot accept, including:
• Second-hand toys and anything not recently purchased
• Items containing button batteries
• Political, controversial or religious items
• Toys that depict violence or weapons (for example: toy guns, Nerf guns, swords)
• Items with sharp edges
• Food, toxic items, latex or scented items
• Knitted blankets.
Handmade Items
Have you got a talent for sewing and a desire to support sick kids?
We currently require a regular supply of several handmade items to help support the healthcare journey of children in the hospital. These items include:
• Quilts
• Pillow cases
• Knitted octopi.

Delivering Donations
Please ensure all gifts are delivered unwrapped.
In Person:
Please deliver your donations to Level 2, Queensland Children’s Hospital. You can park in the 10-minute drop off zone on Raymond Terrace. Deliveries can be made from between 9am – 4pm Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).
Online Orders:
If you would like to purchase items online and get them delivered direct to the hospital please address them to Queensland Children’s Hospital, Impact Programs Team, 2A Volunteer Hub, 501 Stanley St, South Brisbane 4101.
